Henry’s interest in art and design started at the age of 5 when he won the first prize in an art competition for his age group organised by his constituency in Singapore. “I remember that art piece quite vividly as while most 5 years old drew in 2D, I drew the buildings in perspective. Of course, I did not even know what perspective really is.” Since graduating from Interior Architecture and Design diploma more than 20 years ago, Henry has a diversified career from Interior design to Asia Pacific sales for furniture. He is presently at the helm of Index Design, the parent company of PAI Studio. With a multitude of award winning and high-profile private residential condominium projects such as 45Amber and The Reef at King’s Dock, he brings his years of experience of handling large scale projects to the studio.

Mr. Peeradet Kangsadalkun’s childhood interest in art and design, as well as his predilection for precision, extend naturally into the making of spaces. Born and raised in Bangkok, Peeradet spent his early academic years in Singapore. After completing a bachelor’s degree in interior architecture in Assumption University, Bangkok, he garnered 13 years of experience at DP Architects in Singapore. Peeradet’s firm grasp of broad perspectives and adroit space planning is exhibited through the course of a project, from conceptualisation and design development through to project coordination and eventual handover. He believes that approaching materials from an explorative angle leads to superior works that brings new revelations to conventional typologies.

Watching her furniture-maker father at work seeded Ada Sim’s interest in design. A vivid memory is of the artisan rigorously sanding down woodwork to prepare pieces for receiving spray paint. This shaped her persistence in creating holistic, emphatic design. “I always feel that design should be a way of life and can be of service to all, regardless of hierarchy,” she asserts. After graduating from the Queensland University of Technology, Australia, Sim was exposed to the basic tenets of spatial design at David Tan Associate. This was deepened by 14 years of experience at DP Architects. Sim’s speciality lies in crafting intimate moments. Her deft understanding of colour enlivens projects. As adept at conceiving concepts as she is in design development and coordination, Sim’s exposure to the varied cultures of the region and sustainable design bring an added dimension to problem solving.
